Apply Properties to many items at once
When you need to tag (or untag) many Session items the same way, use the Edit Properties dialog. It walks you through three tabs — see what’s already there, decide what to add or remove, and review the change before applying it across the selection.
Select the items
Section titled “Select the items”-
Open the Session.
-
In the Session items table, tick the checkbox next to File Name in the header row to select every item. To select only some, tick the individual rows you want instead.
-
The toolbar now shows an Edit Properties (N) button, where N is the number of items selected.
Open the dialog
Section titled “Open the dialog”Click Edit Properties (N). The Edit Properties dialog opens with three tabs:
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Current Properties | Properties already on at least one selected item, with a Remove button next to each. Useful for bulk untagging. If none, you’ll see “No properties assigned to selected items.” |
| Add Properties | A Property picker for choosing what to add to all selected items. |
| Review Changes | A preview of every add and remove queued up. Last stop before applying. |
You can move between tabs freely; nothing is applied until you click Apply Changes.
Bulk add a Property
Section titled “Bulk add a Property”-
Click the Add Properties tab.
-
Pick a Property from the dropdown. The list is drawn from your Property library — anything anyone on the account has previously created is available.
-
(Optional) Pick another Property from the dropdown to queue more on the same tab. Each item in the selection will receive every Property you queue.
-
Click the Review Changes tab to see the summary.
-
Click Apply Changes (N) at the bottom — N reflects how many add/remove operations are about to happen.
The dialog closes. Each selected item gets the new Property chips.
Bulk remove a Property
Section titled “Bulk remove a Property”-
On the Current Properties tab, find the Property you want gone and click its Remove button.
-
Switch to Review Changes to confirm the operation.
-
Click Apply Changes (N).
Removing from the Current Properties tab affects only the selected items. The Name and Value stay in your Property library and on any items outside the selection.
- The header checkbox follows whatever’s filtered or visible. If you’ve filtered the Session items table, “select all” selects all currently visible items, not the full Session.
- Review before you apply. The Review Changes tab is the safety net — once you click Apply, the operation isn’t undone with a single click. You’d have to bulk-remove what you just added.
- Mixing adds and removes is fine. You can queue both in one trip through the dialog and apply them together.
